Nyonya Laksa @ Mt Erskine Roadside Hawker (daytime)

Update 1.3.2011
Either I must be on to something or everyone is highly connected. The blogger lookalike is gone.In her place are two old slow motion ladies. The older always smiling, the younger scowling. The noodles are different now,it's moist and no more hard, with a tiny portion of fish included.Somehow the soup doesn't cut it for me even though the oldest server looks like she puts a lot of time trying to make out the real target from her cataract blurred image. The vegetables have been left to slowly rot cos they've been placed too near heat
-------------------------------------------------------------------
You come here because it's one of those places that's still open at 4pm.You then sit and notice quite a lot of people ordering this dish. The evidence is in the bowl on the table.Almost every table is graced by one.Yours truly cannot resist being a follower and proceeds to make her order.
She makes a mean soup,it's got sting,it's got fire but the noodles are too hard.Pretty unusual for Penang laksa but nothing out of ordinary if you go to a kenduri.Dissapointed because it is such a waste, you get up and prepare to leave, all the while wondering if you could probably ask her for a bowl of soup minus the noodles next time without offending this harried looking lady.
Then as you are wading your way past the muck this place is known for and walk towards your car you can't help but peer into everyone's bowls.
It is then that you will find that you are not alone and most people too don't eat the noodles cos it's like eating half cooked spaghetti.
Btw she looks like one of the famous but messy looking middle aged female blogger from Penang who's not residing in Penang currently(no more clues, this is the final one, don't ask anymore). The curly haired 70s perm one.
